There are Golf Foundations & Associations in each state of Australia who are there to help anyone to get involved in golf.
Here are contact details for the state bodies and foundations. This is a great place to start.
The State Associations are responsible for the governance, delivery and direction of Golf in their State.
They promote and market the game through a variety of programs including State Opens, State Championships at different levels and a range of other events to encourage participation.
They promote social golf participation via the “Golf Network” where Social golfers can learn the skills, rules and etiquette and gain a GA handicap.
The State Associations also deliver Rules training and accreditation, course rating and handicapping, elite training and preparation of State Teams, Squads and representatives.
